Healthcare UK and the Department for International Trade (DIT) are inviting UK organisations who would like to attend the Digital health mission to Indonesia and Vietnam to submit an expression of interest (500 words max) outlining your international offer and examples of any relevant international collaboration.
Indonesia aims to increase access to healthcare across the archipelago, improve efficiency in healthcare delivery and enhance the patient experience. Benefiting from a digitally-literate population with increasing income, Indonesia is well-positioned to adopt digital health solutions and innovation in healthcare delivery is a key priority for local healthcare providers. Healthcare spending in Indonesia is projected to grow from US$30.2 billion in 2017 to US$47.1 billion by 2022.
Developing healthcare is one of Vietnam’s top priorities, and healthcare spending is set to rise from US$15.6 billion in 2018 to US$42.9 billion in 2028. Strong economic growth is leading to a rise in higher quality medical treatment and smart solutions to help alleviate Vietnam’s overcrowded public hospitals and diversify the delivery of care. Vietnam’s Ministry of Health is driving a national agenda for the digitalisation of healthcare solutions in all hospitals and clinics across the country, opening up for many opportunities for collaboration with UK providers.
Healthcare UK and the DIT are particularly interested in digital health that includes:
- Remote monitoring and telehealth
- Diagnostics and Artificial Intelligence
- Electronic Health Records and Electronic Medical Records
- Digital Primary Care
Relationship building is key to doing business in Southeast Asia. Participants will take part in DIT led events and B2B meetings with key regional stakeholders in healthcare.
There is a £275 (excl. VAT) fee per person to join the trade mission. Delegates are responsible for related expenses including airfare, accommodation and subsistence.
To register your interest:
Please contact Healthcare UK and the Department for International Trade with 500 words (max) outlining your digital healthcare international offer. Please submit your expressions of interest by 20 September 2019. There are limited spaces available and applications will be considered by Healthcare UK and DIT.
Please do not book anything until Healthcare UK has confirmed your attendance and sent an invitation to join the mission. They are currently inviting expressions of interest and will confirm with those who are successful after the deadline date.
