The UK-ASEAN Business Council together with the Ministry of Finance of Thailand, the Export-Import Bank of Thailand, the Eastern Economic Corridor Office, the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organisations and the Royal Thai Embassy London were delighted to present this important event on trade and investment in Thailand. The UK places great importance in its relationship with Thailand, one of the UK’s oldest friends in Southeast Asia, with UK-Thailand trade dating back to the 17th Century.

The programme included presentations on:

“A New Era of National Transformations: From Growth to Investment Opportunity” by the Ministry of Finance (MOF)

“Future of Thailand’s Trade and Investment in a Tariff War” by the Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM)

“Eastern Economic Corridor: the Thailand 4.0 Driving Force” by the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO)

“Investment Opportunities in Thailand’s Capital Market” by the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations (FETCO)

A Panel Discussion on ‘How to Invest in Thailand?’ with speakers from MOF, EXIM, EECO, and FETCO.

On 19th September, H.E. Mr Pisanu Suvanajata presided over the event at the Landmark London. The talks provided information on the outlook and the strength of Thailand’s economy and the benefits of investing in Thailand to foreign investors in the UK. The guest speakers for this event were (1) Mr Warotai Kosolpisitkul, Fiscal Policy Advisor (2) Mrs Luxmon Attapich, Eastern Economic Corridor (EECO) (3) Mr Rak Vorrkitpokatorn, Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM) and (4) Mr Paiboon Nalinthrangkurn, Federation of Thai Capital Market Organisations (FETCO). There were over 100 guests from various business sectors attending the event and they provided some fantastic questions for the panel at the end of the evening before a networking session to close.
