A tender has been issued by a local authority for the installation of noise barriers at 16 train stations in Singapore
Deadline for application:
Thu, 14 Feb. 2019
The local authority requires noise barriers installed on both sides of an existing Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) viaducts on plain line, split tracks and turnout facilities. The lengths of the routes are about 2.5km, 1.7km and 0.9km. A pre and post-noise measurement to validate the effectiveness of the noise barriers system is also required.
The barriers are wanted to reduce the impact of noise generated (instantaneous noise reduction of at least 5dBA and 10dBA) on the elevated sections of plain line and turnout. Permanent installation of the noise barriers will include checking of existing structures affected by proposed works.
