The British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar is an independent, non-profit membership organisation which promotes, supports and represents business interests in Myanmar.

The British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar is a registered independent, non-profit membership organisation which promotes, supports and represents business interests in Myanmar and has a full presence in Yangon together with support in Mandalay.

The Chamber launched in July 2014 with the support of high-profile British businesses, our four Founding Patrons included: BG Group, Jardines, Prudential and Standard Chartered Bank. The Chamber has since grown an extensive 260 member companies including 19 partnership companies and has become the leading international business membership organisation in Myanmar with close links to Government and many local and international business associations.

The 2021 Board of Directors are drawn from an extensive network of British and local companies representing many key sectors from insurance to trading.

The Chamber provides regular online and physical networking opportunities, political and economic briefings and webinars. Additionally, the Chamber has an extensive portfolio of working groups and developed a platform for engagement with the Union of Myanmar Government on issues affecting business.

The Department for International Trade (DIT) and the Chamber work closely together to offer services and events for the business community in Myanmar as well providing proactive support to new market entrants and exporters by identifying the opportunities and navigating the challenges to establish a business in Myanmar. The team are more than happy to arrange online discussions to explain and explore the opportunities for UK exporters and market entrants.
