What We Do

The UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC) is the leading UK-based organisation promoting trade and investment between the UK and ASEAN’s dynamic markets.

Created out of UK Trade & Investment’s 2011 Strategy ‘Britain Open for Business’, the UKABC is passionate about helping UK companies of all sizes export and invest in one of the most exciting, vibrant and fastest growing regions in the world.

Working closely with the UK and ASEAN governments, key partner organisations including the British Chambers of Commerce in ASEAN, influential corporates, experienced SMEs, market experts, and professional services providers, we have created an extensive UK-ASEAN business network that allows us to provide unique market insights, and links UK innovation and expertise with ASEAN’s vast commercial developments.

Assisting SMEs export to ASEAN

Whether you are a UK company brand new to exporting, or newly considering ASEAN as an export destination, we are here to help. We provide practical advice and guidance on how to do business in ASEAN, using our ASEAN Export Specialists to link through to our expert business partners in ASEAN – the British Chambers of Commerce.

We also bring ASEAN to the UK through a sustained calendar of events including market/regional briefings, targeted meetings with ASEAN decision-makers and promotional events.
If you are interested in discussing your ASEAN export strategy with one of our Specialists, their details are available here.

An invaluable Corporate Partnership programme

Designed for companies seeking to not just export but actively engage in the region, we provide our Corporate Partners with priority access to exclusive events, business intelligence, and promote their visibility and capabilities in ASEAN.

We do this by utilising our network of contacts in UK and ASEAN governments, influential international decision and by accessing high-level events and meetings in both the UK and Southeast Asia.

If you are interested in becoming a Corporate Partner or would like additional information, please contact Allen Lai: allen.lai@ukabc.org.uk.
