Working alongside the UKABC Chairman and Board of Directors, the UK-ASEAN Business Council has an executive team based in Westminster.

Ross Hunter

Ross was appointed Executive Director of the UK-ASEAN Business Council in September 2013. Prior to taking up this position he has held a variety of roles across government including: heading up UK Trade & Investment’s Sponsorship Team; serving as a diplomat in Kuwait, Iraq and South Africa; and working as a Private Secretary for two different government ministers.

Max Coleman

Max is a results driven strategy and communications specialist with In-depth experience in developing and managing digital communication agency divisions, creating and extracting new revenue streams by transforming and extending well-known brands. Leveraging a strong international network he has headed up communications and analysis for the European Commission, Olympic bid, G8 Summits and  various Ministries. He has also acted as a representative for a British Chamber of Commerce.

Geoff Charlesworth

Geoff is a client-focused Export Specialist with over 8 years of providing a systematic approach to determining routes to market, applying effective market research and market entry planning and over 20 years of experience doing business in Southeast Asia. Having lived and worked in the region for over 7 years, he has an exceptional network of contacts and associates in ASEAN and an excellent understanding of business ethics, being both politically and culturally aware. Geoff has led several Trade Missions to Southeast Asian markets and delivered project work for businesses in all sectors.

Paul North

Paul is an experienced Executive Business Manager with a wealth of experience in international markets from having worked and lived in the Middle East for more than 30 years. His previous role was with the Department for International Trade (formerly UK Trade & Investment), heading up the Overseas Business Network Initiative in the East Midlands. He was developing and supporting a global network of business-led partner organisations to offer a wide range of high-quality support in key markets, particularly Southeast Asia, for exporting companies.

Georgina Martin

George joined the team in 2016 after three years at Saracens Rugby Club and handles the planning and execution of the UKABC’s busy events programme.

She read Geography at King’s College London, has travelled extensively both in ASEAN and Africa, and spent time in Sierra Leone after graduation.

Marcus Greenslade

A politics graduate with a particular interest in Southeast Asia, Marcus joined in 2017 and is responsible for keeping web content and social media engaging and up to date. Previously he has worked on training and technical materials for Network Rail and helped research and proofread a textbook on geopolitics.
